Follow-up

After a period of intensive contact, we would like to see you again after 6 weeks at the practice for a concluding meeting. You can make an appointment for this yourself during the telephone consultation hour, approximately 4 weeks after your delivery. This way we have enough time to find a suitable place during the consultation hour. It is often useful to schedule the follow-up check-up with the obstetrician who was present during your birth. When making the appointment, you will receive a digital questionnaire from us about the functioning of your pelvic floor. We will discuss these during the inspection.

During the follow-up check-up we will discuss how you are doing and what your experiences are about the course of the pregnancy, delivery and maternity period. We then want to know how your recovery is going and your parenting experiences. In addition, we like to see how your baby has grown and we are curious how the development has gone in the first weeks. We may discuss contraception and may provide advice for a subsequent pregnancy and/or delivery. If you have any questions, you can of course ask them.

Finally, we would like to discuss the care we have provided during pregnancy, childbirth and the maternity period. It is important to us that you close this period in a positive way. If you have any questions or if you think things have gone less well, we hope you answer them so that we can optimize our care. Tips are most welcome.
